A proper holiday requires the perfect hotel accommodations. From small motels in interior towns, to grand resort hotels on the beach, the “Sun Coast” region of southern Spain offers a variety of choices for any income level. If you are visiting as part of a family or large group you may find that a holiday villa offers the best value for money along with a cheap airfare from one of the many budget airlines that fly here. Like all holiday villas in Spain, self catering accommodation on the Costa del Sol comes in all shapes and sizes but is widely available right along the coast. Figuring out where to stay in Costa del Sol is all a part of the fun!

The town of Benalmádena is home to many five-star arrangements, such as the Torrequebrada Hotel. For those on a budget, there are also four-star, three-star, and two-star hotel options. The town itself is positioned on the coastline, and the closest airport is only 20 minutes away in Málaga. Needless to say, this quiet resort town really does have it all!

Balcony-of-EuropeThe city of Marbella is home to several luxurious resorts. The city is considered the epicenter of lavishness, and can’t help but attract the exorbitantly rich. The resorts and many of the smaller hotels are positioned right on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. The accommodations typically showcase the Andalusia architectural style, with hints of African and Arabic influence. Marbella is definitely the place to go if style and class are important aspects of a traveler’s holiday.

Málaga has a little bit of everything. There are high-end hotels as well as more affordable accommodations for those watching their spending. Not only is the shopping incredible, but the international airport is only minutes away.

Resorts can also be found in Benalmádena, Estepona, Marbella, Malaga and Mijas. Ultimately, deciding where to stay in Costa del Sol really depends on individual tastes and budget. Each city provides a completely unique experience. In order to enjoy a Costa del Sol holiday to its full potential, a traveler should figure out the style of city and the accommodations that best suit his or her needs.
