There are plenty of attractions for you and your family to enjoy on your Costa del Sol holidays. There are literally hundreds of tourist attractions in Costa del Sol. From museums to nightclubs, there is something for everyone. Here are just a few of the options the exciting Costa del Sol has to offer!

The Marpe Málaga leisure centre is located in none other than Málaga City. It is a playground for children and adults alike. The centre boasts ball pits, foam obstacle courses, and other adrenaline pumping activities for kids of all ages (even just the kids at heart). Best of all, it is completely open to the public.

The Casarabonela Museum of Sacred Art is situated in the small town of Casarabonela. It is a quaint museum that showcases pieces of the local history. In some cases, the art dates as far back as the 1200′s. Sculptures in polychromatic wood, as well as historical documents and embroidered cloth are a few of works held in the museum. The ancient artifacts attract the both scholars and tourists who appreciate historical masterpieces.

Underneath the town of Nerja, there is a system of caves that reaches for nearly five kilometres. Children supposedly found the Nerja caves in 1959, while they were chasing a pig. The caves opened to the public in 1960 as a tourist attraction. A welcome centre near the mouth of the caves provides important maps and historical information about the site. Artifacts found throughout the cave system indicate that they were once inhabited by man in prehistoric times.

There are two major animal attractions in Costa del Sol. The Selwo Aventura in Estepona boasts over 200 species. The Selwo Marina, located in Benalmádena, is home to the only penguin aquarium in Spain. The cable car ride in Benalmádena is an attraction in itself. The shores of North Africa can be seen from the cable cars at the top of Mount Carramolo. These tourist attractions in Costa del Sol can easily fill a weekend holiday!
