If you are in the process of planning your holidays to the Costa del Sol why not consider the world-famous and glittering resort of Marbella for your stay?

Marbella, which is otherwise known as the ‘Jewel of the Costa del Sol’, offers a unique charm to any visitor. With such backdrops of sea and mountains, as well as the contrasting character to be found in neighbouring villages and its own cosmopolitan feel, Marbella is a popular choice to any seasoned traveller. Its pristine sands stretch from Cabopino to Guadalmina.

Marbella oozes charm with its fishermen to be found untangling their nets at the town port as the luxury yacht owners look on from the marina. The old town is home to the famous square, which is a splendid gathering point for a coffee and some people watching. Visitors may be lucky enough to catch sight of a celebrity or two, or they may see an artist or multimillionaire stepping out on the town making this a place to be seen in.

Marbella’s fabulous climate makes the town popular with both permanent residents and tourists alike. With its abundant leisure attractions on offer, visitors can check out such delights as casinos, international restaurants, designer boutiques and numerous golf courses. There is even a skiing season in the easy-to-reach Sierra Nevada Mountains.

Marbella’s old town is very charming and oozes character. The cobbled streets are narrow and fringed with chic, designer boutiques and quirky local cafés. At the centre of the Old Town, otherwise known as ‘El Casco Antiguo’, visitors can check out an impressive cathedral. The Old Town is ideal for not only shopping, but also relaxing with a drink or two in the restaurants and bars.

Like most other resorts on the Costa del Sol, holiday villas are available for holiday rent and this usually offers the most cost effective way of taking a family or group holiday in Marbella.
